2. Information Security Program
Our Information Security Program is governed by a dedicated Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and is built on the following pillars:
- Risk Management: Continuous risk assessment and treatment processes aligned with ISO 31000 and NIST Risk Management Framework.
- Policy Framework: Comprehensive security policies covering data classification, acceptable use, access control, encryption, incident response, and more — reviewed annually.
- Security Governance: Regular security steering committee meetings with executive oversight, security KPIs, and quarterly risk reviews.
- Continuous Monitoring: 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) with SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence integration.
3. Data Protection
3.1 Encryption
- At Rest: AES-256 encryption for all stored data, including databases, file systems, and backups.
- In Transit: TLS 1.3 enforced for all data transmission. Legacy protocols (TLS 1.0/1.1, SSL) are disabled.
- Key Management: Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for cryptographic key storage. Keys rotated per industry best practices.
3.2 Data Classification
All data is classified under our four-tier scheme:
- Public: Marketing content, published reports
- Internal: Internal communications, operational data
- Confidential: Client data, business strategies, proprietary code
- Restricted: PII, PHI, financial data, credentials, encryption keys
3.3 Data Residency
We support data residency requirements across jurisdictions. Client data is stored in the region specified in the engagement agreement, with no cross-border transfers without explicit consent and appropriate safeguards (SCCs, BCRs).
4. Infrastructure Security
- Cloud Security: Multi-cloud architecture leveraging AWS, Azure, and GCP with CIS Benchmarks, cloud-native security controls, and automated compliance scanning.
- Network Security: Defense-in-depth with next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust network architecture.
- Physical Security: Tier III+ data centers with biometric access, 24/7 surveillance, mantrap entry, and environmental controls.
- DDoS Protection: Enterprise-grade DDoS mitigation with automatic traffic scrubbing and geo-distributed load balancing.
- Logging & Monitoring: Centralized log management with minimum 12-month retention. Real-time alerting on security events.
5. Application Security
- Secure SDLC: Security integrated into every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle — from threat modeling to secure code review.
- OWASP Top 10: All applications are developed and tested against the OWASP Top 10 vulnerability categories.
- Static & Dynamic Analysis: Automated SAST and DAST scanning in CI/CD pipelines with mandatory remediation before deployment.
- Penetration Testing: Annual third-party penetration testing by CREST-certified firms, with ad-hoc testing for major releases.
- Dependency Scanning: Automated SCA (Software Composition Analysis) for open-source vulnerability detection.
- Code Review: Mandatory peer code review with security-focused checklists for all production deployments.
6. Identity & Access Management
- Zero Trust Architecture: "Never trust, always verify" — every access request is authenticated, authorized, and encrypted.
- Multi-Factor Authentication: MFA enforced for all internal systems, client environments, and administrative access.
- Role-Based Access Control: Principle of least privilege with RBAC. Access rights reviewed quarterly.
- Privileged Access Management: Just-in-time (JIT) access provisioning for elevated privileges with session recording.
- Single Sign-On: Enterprise SSO with SAML 2.0 / OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect integration.
- Automated Deprovisioning: Immediate access revocation upon employee offboarding or role change.
7. Incident Response
Our Incident Response Plan follows the NIST Computer Security Incident Handling Guide (SP 800-61) framework:
- Detection & Analysis: Automated threat detection with 24/7 SOC monitoring, threat intelligence feeds, and anomaly detection.
- Containment: Predefined containment strategies for different incident types with automated playbook execution.
- Eradication & Recovery: Systematic removal of threat vectors and restoration from verified clean backups.
- Post-Incident Review: Root cause analysis, lessons learned documentation, and control improvement implementation.
- Client Notification: Affected clients notified within 72 hours (or as required by applicable law and contractual obligations).
- Tabletop Exercises: Quarterly incident simulation exercises to validate readiness and response procedures.
8. Third-Party & Vendor Management
- All vendors undergo security risk assessment before onboarding
- Mandatory Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all sub-processors
- Annual vendor security reviews and reassessments
- Right-to-audit clauses in all critical vendor agreements
- Continuous monitoring of vendor security posture through automated scoring platforms
9. Employee Security
- Background Verification: Comprehensive background checks for all employees, including identity, education, employment history, and criminal records.
- Security Training: Mandatory annual security awareness training with phishing simulations and role-based security training for developers and operators.
- NDA & Confidentiality: All employees and contractors sign non-disclosure agreements and acceptable use policies before system access is granted.
- Clean Desk Policy: Enforced clean desk and clear screen policies across all offices.
- Endpoint Security: Corporate devices managed with EDR, full-disk encryption, application whitelisting, and remote wipe capability.
10. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
- RPO/RTO: Recovery Point Objective of 1 hour and Recovery Time Objective of 4 hours for critical systems.
- Geo-Redundancy: Multi-region deployment with active-passive failover for critical workloads.
- Backup Strategy: Automated daily backups with 3-2-1 rule (3 copies, 2 media types, 1 offsite). Immutable backups for ransomware protection.
- BCP Testing: Annual business continuity plan testing with documented results and improvement actions.
